Appreciation Team
Ministry Team Leader: Jack Dillon and Chris Deering

Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. Now finish the work, that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means.

                                                                                                            2 Corinthians 8:10-11

Why does St. Augustine church need this ministry?

As the part of the ongoing Capital Campaign for the Building Fund, the main role of the Appreciation Team is to communicate the progress of the Campaign. In addition, the team develops ways to show appreciation for those who help the Church.

What do team members do?

  • Report the financial status of the Capital Campaign to church members monthly in the newsletter; express gratitude to donors

  • Develop a ‘visual’ to display progress on the Campaign and share this quarterly on Appreciation Team Sunday

  • Provide refreshments at Coffee Hour on Appreciation Team Sunday.

  • Encourage members of the congregation to continue to fulfill their pledge commitment to the Campaign.

  • Encourage new members to make a commitment to the Capital Campaign.

Suggested Skills:

  • An enthusiastic attitude

  • Willingness to assist with coffee hour

  • Willingness to help with mailings when necessary

Time required: (bullets)

  • Some time required at least quarterly to help with Appreciation Sunday activities

Will I work alone or as part of a team?

  • Work as a team
