Why does St. Augustine Church need this ministry?

The sound and video ministries create a comfortable and accessible worship environment for all who are present.

What do team members do?

  • Team members may choose to do some or all of the tasks

  • Create PowerPoint (PPTs) for worship services

  • Advance PPT slides during services

  • Record sermons

  • Help manage sound settings and set-ups

Suggested Skills:

  • Computer skills and openness to learn

  • Willingness to learn about the Book of Common Prayer and the services we use from it for our PPTs

Time required:

  • One to three hoursto create a PPT, depending on whether a template is being adapted for weekly use or a brand new service is being generated with clergy support

  • Arrive 15 minutes before the service and participate for theduration

Will I work alone or as part of a team?

  • Work as a team on some tasks, alone on others

  • Office staff and clergy support always available
