New Here
Welcome to St. Augustine
We know visiting a church for the first time can feel intimidating. You might be wondering what
to expect, whether you fit in, or if anyone will even notice while you're here.
At St. Augustine, our mission is simple:
We are a safe place for people seeking God.
Whether you've never been to church, you're returning after years away, you've recently moved
to the area, or you've been following Jesus your whole life, we're glad you're here.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and worthy of love, dignity, and
belonging. You don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through our doors. We
certainly don't.
We'd love to meet you.

Is There a Place for Me Here?
Yes.
You don't have to be Episcopalian. You don't have to know the Bible. You don't have to have all
the answers.
Many of us have arrived carrying questions, doubts, grief, hope, joy, or simply a longing for community. We believe faith grows best when people can ask honest questions, be themselves,
and discover God's love alongside others.
Whoever you are, wherever you are on your spiritual journey, there is a place for you here.

Our worship begins every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
When you arrive, you'll find friendly people ready to help you find your way, but no one will put you on the spot or ask you to stand up as a visitor.
Our worship includes music, prayer, readings from Scripture, a thoughtful sermon that connects faith with everyday life, and Holy Communion.
The service usually lasts about an hour.
After worship, everyone is invited to stay for coffee, refreshments, and conversation. Some of the best connections happen around the coffee table.

What Should I Wear?

Whatever makes you comfortable.
On any given Sunday you'll see everything from jeans to dresses, polo shirts to sport coats.
Come as you are.
We're much more interested in meeting you than in what you're wearing.
What Happens on Sunday?

Can I Receive Communion?
Yes, if your heart is open to God you are welcome to receive Holy Communion at St. Augustine.
If you would rather not receive Communion, you are welcome to come forward for a blessing or
simply remain in your seat. Either choice is completely okay.
If you've never been to church before or have questions, don't worry. We'll help you feel at home.
What Do You Believe?
We believe God loves every person.
We believe Jesus shows us what God's love looks like in human life.
We believe faith isn't about pretending to have all the answers. It's about growing in love for God
and our neighbors.

As part of the Episcopal Church, we value Scripture, tradition, and thoughtful conversation. We believe questions are part of a healthy faith, and we welcome them.

What About My Children?
Children are always welcome.
Some families choose to worship together, while others participate in our children's ministry and Sunday School. Either way, we're happy to have children exactly as they are. Wiggles, whispers, and giggles are all part of church life.
Our goal is to help children and families grow in faith together.
How Do I Meet People?
One of the hardest parts of visiting a new church is wondering whether you'll actually get to know anyone.
At St. Augustine, we make time to connect.
Join us for coffee after worship, introduce yourself to one of our clergy, attend one of our classes or small groups, or volunteer alongside others in serving our community.
One of the best ways to get connected is through The Journey. The Journey is a welcoming small group designed for people who are new to St. Augustine, new to faith, or simply looking to grow deeper in their relationship with God. Together we explore the Christian faith, ask honest questions, share our stories, and discover how God is at work in our lives. Along the way, you'll get to know others who are on the journey with you.
Many lasting friendships at St. Augustine begin around a table, sharing conversation, laughter, and faith together.
Friendships don't happen overnight, but they do happen here. We hope you'll take the first step, and we'll walk with you.
Everyone is Welcome
We believe every person is created in the image of God and is deeply loved by God.
At St. Augustine, we welcome people of every age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, family structure, ability, background, and life experience. Whether you are exploring
faith for the first time, returning to church after many years, or have been part of a church your whole life, there is a place for you here.
We are committed to being a safe place for people seeking God. That means striving to create a community where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Our campus is accessible, and we work to make worship and church life welcoming for people with disabilities. If there is anything we can do to help you participate more fully, please let us know. We would be honored to assist you.
You do not have to look or think like everyone else to belong here. Come as you are. We would love to meet you.
Why St. Augustine?
There are many wonderful churches in our area.
What makes St. Augustine unique is our commitment to being
A Safe Place for People Seeking God.
We're a warm, welcoming Episcopal church that blends traditional worship with everyday relevance. We care deeply about our community, serve our neighbors with compassion, and
believe God's welcome is bigger than we sometimes imagine.
Our hope is that every person who walks through our doors experiences God's love in practical, tangible ways.
