Services
For Episcopalians, communion is the Church's central act of worship. Holy Eucharist is a service where we receive God's holy food and drink, and are empowered to live our daily lives in love and service.
Sunday Service
10:00 Holy Eucharist with Choir
The 10:00 service is our primary gathering. We project the service onto screens so you can follow along. There is music led by our choir, as well as nursery care and Sunday School for children under 10. Service is live streamed below.

At communion, the ushers direct the congregation in forming two lines. If you would like to receive a blessing instead of communion, please tell an usher and they will help you get into the priest's line. Then, simply cross your arms over your chest and the priest will know what to do. If you prefer not to receive communion, you may remain in your seat, and no one will judge you.
1st & 3rd Sunday Service
The Table Contemporary Service 5 p.m.
The Table is a Eucharist Service designed for Generation Z. It is a thirty-five-minute service with live contemporary worship.
The service is intended to be community based to allow people to create and keep friendships.
After the service, the community has appetizers and plays board games.
Centering Prayer
Monday Evenings at 5:00
This 90-minute long service includes teaching about contemplation and the practice of centering prayer, including twenty minutes of sitting in silence and Lectio Divina. If you have any questions, please contact Steve & Sharon Mershon.

Fridays at Noon
This brief noonday service follows a simple liturgy that frames our time of silence and contemplation. If you have any questions, Chris Deering.

Classes & Studies
Throughout the year, we hold various classes and studies. Whether it’s examining church architecture or analyzing the parables of Jesus, you’re sure to find a class that catches your interest and helps you explore important questions of faith. Centering Prayer
Sometimes the most valuable thing you can add into your busy schedule is just sitting in silence. Centering prayer is a special service we hold on Monday evenings at 5:00 and Fridays at noon where you can do just that. Whether you have been practicing contemplation for a long time, or if you’re just curious about trying it, this is a safe and nonjudgmental space for you to encounter God in a moment of sacred quiet.
Episcopal 101
Do you have questions about The Episcopal Church or why we do the things we do? Join us every 3rd Sunday at 11:30 for a Q&A session about Episcopal spirituality. If you'd like to submit a question anonymously or in advance, you can find the question box at the Welcome Counter.
Youth Formation
The Co-Op
Each month we hold a multi-church co-operative youth group for students in 6th-12th grades. They typically meet on the third Wednesday at 6pm to share a meal, engage in an activity or discussion, and worship together.
We partner with Pastor Sarah (St. James Episcopal Church, Lincoln) and Pastor Vinny (Lincoln United Methodist Church). Our leaders from St. Augustine are Pr. Anny and Gaby Sisk.

The Outreach Team’s goal is to help you find your mission, your ideas for financial or other forms of assistance towards ministries you feel called to support. Please contact one of the Outreach Team members below to discuss your ideas. Ifyou feel called to give back to our community, contact us about joining the Outreach Ministry today. Your talents and spiritual gifts are needed to help us make a difference.
Mission & Outreach Team
The Mission & Outreach Team coordinates the support of several ministries within our local community as well as overseas. To support the budget for the many projects we support, we hold one big annual fundraiser event. Look for information about our next fundraiser on the church calendar.

The Gathering Inn
We are part of a collective of churches and organizations who host and support The Gathering Inn’s rotating shelter program that serves the homeless in our community. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, we are honored to host The Gathering Inn at St. Augustine. We prepare and serve dinner, along with providing overnight accommodations and our teams could always use an extra hand. If you’re interested in lending a hand, you can find the signup binder at the Welcome Counter or contact Janice Stenzel.
Additional support in the form of HE detergent, gently used clean clothes (warm in winter and cool in summer) along with new socks (men & women) are always appreciated. Items may be placed in grocery cart near the front door. For more information, please contact Beth Sulc.
Kairos Prison Ministry
Kairos is a lay-led international prison ministry. Our chapter ministers to the “men in blue” of Folsom Prison, providing spiritual support and prayer.

St. James Food Pantry
We collect food weekly to supply the food pantry at St. James Episcopal Church in Lincoln. If you prefer you can make a donation to St. Augustine and note in the memo area “St. James Food Pantry” to help with incidentals the clients need. In addition, if you feel called to work at the pantry on Friday mornings contact Candace Rousselet. Look for the grocery cart near the front door for food donations.

Rise Against Hunger
St. Augustine hosts an annual food-packaging event for Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger.
This partnership began in 2014 and we have packed just over 200,000 meals with members and our community neighbors. You don’t want to miss the next multi-generational event.

Haiti Partnership
Since 2016, we have partnered with St. Luc Episcopal Church and School in Thomassique, Haiti, to support their educational program. In addition, the partnership has provided equipment for clean water on site as well as uniforms and meals for the students. Money for the partnership is raised annually at a fundraising event and many friends make a monthly or quarterly donation. In 2020 St Stephen’s Episcopal Church (Vestavia Hills, AL) joined us supporting 50% of the operating budget. We have also received generous support from the Lincoln California Rotary Club. Together we have built the first floor of a new school and enrollment is currently at 150 students.

Acres of Hope
Acres of Hope is a spiritually based renewal center that provides a safe family environment in a healthy living program for women with children. Our balanced approach sets the foundation for change and breaks the cycle of homelessness. Volunteering with Acres of Hope is a rewarding experience that makes a lasting impact on the lives of women and children.

The Center for St. Matthew
The Center at St. Matthew’s is an innovative community service ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. On its campus, the Center hosts a large food bank which feeds a wide variety of guests including the working poor, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, homeless neighbors, and a large number of Afghan refugees as well as recent immigrants from other countries. On the campus they also offer an adult school language and literacy education to refugees and immigrants. Beyond its campus, the Center’s leaders are active in collaborative efforts to provide local resources for the homeless and to promote Latino/Hispanic ministries across the diocese.
