Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near.

Summary: Lent is a sacred season to quiet the noise of life so we can seek God and experience God’s presence more deeply.
Dear Church Family,
There was a season in my life when I was between jobs and asking God for direction about what would come next. I expected clarity about my future. Instead, the guidance I received was unexpected. I sensed a strong invitation to step away from striving and enter an intensive time of prayer.
For several months, I spent hours each day in prayer and meditation. I slowed my life down and created space to listen. During that time, the presence of the Holy Spirit felt almost tangible. I experienced a deep sense of peace, renewal, and spiritual growth. Something in me softened. My heart became more open. My trust grew stronger.
Then, just as clearly as the invitation had come, I sensed a release. Soon after, the next job appeared.
I have come to believe that there are seasons when God’s presence feels especially near, not because God has moved closer, but because our hearts have become more available. Isaiah invites us to “seek the Lord while he may be found.” This does not mean God hides from us. It means there are moments when the doorway of our attention is open wider.
Lent is one of those moments.
This season invites us to set aside distractions and turn toward what matters most. It is a time to soften our hearts, quiet our minds, and make room for God’s Spirit. When we slow down, we begin to hear the Spirit’s whispers more clearly. When we pay attention, we begin to see God’s presence in places we once overlooked. When we seek, we discover that God has been seeking us all along.
During Lent, we practice making space. We release what numbs us. We turn toward prayer, reflection, generosity, and compassion. As we do, God’s character becomes clearer, and God’s love becomes more real to us.
God intends to be found. If we look, we will discover that the Holy One is already near.
May this Lent be a season of healing, renewal, and deep spiritual growth for you.
In Christ,

Prayer for the Week: Holy God, quiet the noise within me so I can seek you with an open heart and recognize your presence in my life. Renew me and draw me closer to your love. Amen.
