Listening for God’s Voice
Summary: Jesus knows us and cares for us like a shepherd..
“My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.”
We have a herd of sheep and goats out back of our house, working their way through a parkland canyon. When it’s time to move to next spot, the shepherd sings a trilling song. All the sheep recognize his voice and immediately form a line heading in his direction. They know that he will give them the food, water, and safety they need. They trust in him completely.
May we recognize God’s voice this week, and find the refuge we seek.
Lastly, if you’d like to welcome our LGBTQ+ neighbors to St. Augustine, sign up for a short shift at this year’s Pride Booth. It promises to be great fun! The entertainment line-up is posted on the clipboard.
